The Growling Stones began as a band in 2001 in Białystok, Poland, initially forming as a 5-piece death metal and grindcore group.

The original lineup included:

- Hlehlerehle (Hellishdust) - Vocals
- Robak (RIP) - Guitars
- Pirun - Guitars
- Koshal - Bass (later replaced by Darnoghk)
- Kekon - Drums

This lineup recorded the "Mangled Meat" demo in 2002, featuring the following tracks:

1. Priest
2. Homicidal Desire
3. Disgusting Sex
4. A Plane to Paradise
5. She Is Dead
6. Leningrad 42
7. Lesson of Anatomy

The bassist position proved to be the most challenging at the beginning. After parting ways with Koshal, Darnoghk took over the bass role. However, after some unusual adventures, Darnoghk was replaced by Terefere, who remained with the band until its end.

When Kekon left, the band had to search not only for a new drummer but also for a new rehearsal space, as they used to practice at Kekon's studio next to his house.

Our new home became an old ex-factory run by an elderly man named Leszek. This space was a rehearsal spot for many bands, including Robak's other band, Jezzebelle. Jezzebelle's drummer Tomek joined The Growling Stones, along with Terefere, who had been a bassist in Effect Murder, where Darnoghk was a vocalist.

The new lineup included:

- Hlehlerehle (Hellishdust) - Vocals
- Robak (RIP) - Guitars
- Pirun - Guitars
- Terefere - Bass
- Tomek - Drums

With this lineup, they recorded the "Rock'N'Gore" demo in 2004, which featured the following tracks:

1. F.T.P.E.T.S.
2. Twisted Eddie
3. Issei Sagawa
4. Dead or Undead
5. Consequence
6. Pulsating Vagina

Around 2006, the band moved to a new studio located under one of the main bridges in their city. However, due to creative differences, Tomek left the band. They briefly rehearsed with a drummer named Kogut, but he was soon replaced by Adam Galewski, a young drummer at the beginning of his career. Unfortunately, due to lineup changes, they didn't record anything during this period.

In 2008, they finally found the right person for the drums. Their good friend Bombel decided to rejoin the band as the drummer.

The final lineup included:

- Hlehlerehle (Hellishdust) - Vocals
- Robak (RIP) - Guitars
- Pirun - Guitars
- Terefere - Bass
- Bombel - Drums

In 2009, they recorded a full album titled "Don't Speak Just Listen," featuring the following tracks:

1. Pogo Clown
2. Pulsating Vagina
3. Homicidal Desire
4. Dead or Undead
5. Fuck the People Eat the Shit (F.T.P.E.T.S)
6. Priest
7. Twisted Eddie
8. Hematofobia hienka globiny
9. Issei Sagawa
10. Ropny wrzód na wewnętrznej stronie ud
11. She Is Dead
12. Consequence (Ulcerous Phlegm cover)

During this challenging period, Robak moved to the UK, soon followed by Terefere. In 2014, I flew to the UK in the hope of playing with The Growling Stones again, but tragically, Robak passed away two weeks before my arrival. Struggling to find a new lineup, we faced a difficult time.

In 2017, Terefere and I decided to form a new band called Crusm. On our first demo, we recorded a few songs from The Growling Stones in memory of Robak.
